Dear secretshelf, here’s how I address kinky choking, which is actually a bit of a misnomer I think. Choking refers to the blockage of air passing through the windpipe/throat/trachea. As the anon said, you do NOT want to do this. Do not compress the windpipe(the rigid, ribbed structure at the midline of your front neck). You also don’t want to gag someone so deeply that the throat gets blocked from the inside. What I and I think most people do is to compress the jugular veins on either side of the neck. This slows the return of blood from the brain back to the heart, which can produce the desired lightheadedness. You don’t want to squeeze too hard because you’ll start to compress the carotid arteries beneath the jugular veins, which would slow the flow of blood going up to the brain. This is also a bad idea. What I like to do is to use one hand on K’s neck, just under the angles of her jaw. That’s where you’ll find the carotid pulse on both sides. All you have to do is to squeeze gently, and you’ll already be pressing the veins. Do not press so hard that you stop feeling the pulse. That means you’ve sealed the arteries. In the photo, you can already see the color building in K’s face with gentle, even pressure. When I do this, I keep my eyes on K at all times. I watch her eyes for her ability to focus. I observe her body for any sign of limpness. I listen to her breathing in case it becomes ragged. And I listen to her voice for any indication to stop. If I feel we’ve gone too far, I let go immediately and lay her down to aid her circulation. You can also do this from behind with a choke hold, but never have the forearm or bicep over the windpipe. You arm should be positioned so that the open crook of your elbow is giving the windpipe plenty of room when choking from behind. This is a great and fun hold for certain sex positions, such as when I’m on lying top of K’s back. Hope this helps! Best, S
First of all, holy hell that picture is hot! Thanks @ourprerogatives for the submission — they just keep getting better!
Second, this sounds like excellent advice from experienced kinksters everyone! I am not an expert, medical or otherwise, in this area, so all I can say is read up and be careful!!
