I have been suffering from night terrors for the past few weeks. When I have them, he will hold me until I calmed down. The last time it happened, he put on his collar and leash and gave me the leash to hold, so I would feel in control of something. It was the sweetest thing. Pets can take care of their Mistresses as well.
